Matarbari Port Access Road: Paves Way for Upcoming Mega Infrastructure Projects
The Matarbari Port Access Road is a critical infrastructure initiative to connect the Matarbari deep-sea port and power plant to the national highway network. The new road will provide a vital link for the movement of heavy goods and equipment, supporting the economic growth of the region. This project is a major component of the larger Matarbari Port Development, which, upon completion, is expected to handle a significant volume of export and import cargo, greatly reducing the current strain on the country's other ports. Construction involves building approximately *27.2 kilometers of roads, including several bridges and culverts, to ensure a seamless and high-capacity route. A key benefit of this project is the creation of a direct and efficient logistics corridor that will facilitate foreign investment and turn Matarbari into a major economic hub, contributing significantly to the national GDP.
